KINETIC ADVENTURE
The Kinetic Adventure is an adventure race. Teams race on an unmarked route. The race consists of trail/road running, on/off road cycling, paddling and an obstacle course, all of these testing the physical and mental capacity and teamwork of the participants. A central transition will be set up to ensure maximum exposure to the spectators and supporters. The event is geared for all levels of fitness, with hard racing up front between top athletes, to do-able for an ordinary family. Basic navigation will be required so route choice will determine results. It will not necessarily be the fittest team that will win but the fittest team that can think while they are moving at speed

MIDLANDS ULTRA TRIATHLON CHALLENGE
The Midlands Ultra Triathlon has been in existence since 2009, when The Durban Ultra Triathlon was successfully relocated from Umdloti Beach to the safer swimming waters of Midmar Dam. The move from Durban boosted the event entries from 200 competitors in 2006 to over 720 competitors in 2011, making it the biggest Triathlon event in KZN and the 3rd biggest triathlon in South Africa. The Midlands Ultra Triathlon offers competitors a fast, flat and safe half Iron-man distance event, as well as including the shorter but popular Sprint distance event.

RHODES RUN
The Rhodes Run, South Africa's iconic breathtaking trail run, is staged in the tranquil beauty of the southern Drakensberg mountains surrounding the Victorian-era hamlet of Rhodes. The idea of the race came during a discussion between Reinhard le Roux and other Rhodes property owners over a couple of drinks one night in 1986. The intention was to put Rhodes back on the map before it followed the same fate as other small platteland villages which faded into obscurity. With the initial assistance of the late Peter Jooste, this vision led to the birth of a unique event on the South African sports calendar.

This season's awesome competition runs from October 2011 until April 2012, with the final meet at SA Nationals 2012 and we have once more received very generous support from our amazing sponsors. For those who don't know about SASL, our handicap system lets you compete on equal footing with jumpers of all experience levels. The trick is in entering every month. If you donŐt enter, you can't get points and you slip down the leader board. We can't guarantee you will win, but if you don't enter, we can guarantee you won't!
