With just over two weeks to go until the Joburg Festival of Beer - up to 60 of Jozi’s top lifestyle and foodie media gathered for the launch of the festival at the SAB World of Beer to get a taste of what to expect this year.

The evening consisted of talks from craft brewers David and Andrew Martin from SMACK! Republic as well as from the talented Apiwe Nxusani from BREWHOGS. Talks were followed by a tour of the SAB World of Beer where guests got to learn a bit more about the history of beer. To top off the evening guests were treated to a food and beer pairing by world-renown brewer, Anton Erasmus, from SAB. All-in-all an exciting kick-off to the Joburg Festival of Beer which takes place on the 27th and 28th September at Pirates Sports Club in Greenside.

Time: Sat 10am until 10pm, Sun 10am until 7pm
Tickets: are R150 from www.webtickets.co.za and R50 for kids to enjoy the kiddies play areas and jumping castle under watchful eyes of child minders.
