Words: Ari Seirlis, CEO, QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA)
In its 11th year, the Q4Q adventure ride is bigger and better than ever- four days of riding all the way from Johannesburg to Durban off road for approximately 250 km a day and then the return leg from Durban to Johannesburg.

The Quads 4 Quads event was started ten years ago by a small off-road adventure business called Family Adventures, run by Glenn Foley and Corinne Andrews, who chose QASA (QuadPara Association of South Africa) as the beneficiary of the fundraising ride, which is the main fundraiser for QASA. Ari Seirlis, the CEO of QASA, a quadriplegic will be participating again for the 10th time in this year’s event. Phil Case, well-known quadriplegic and financial director of Dial-A-Nerd, is riding his new bike this year, a beautiful, powerful lady called “Mavis”– it seems as if computer nerds are not always glued to their laptops- this is Phil’s sixth race and he can’t wait.
For the last ten years, QASA has benefited immensely from the funds raised by Quads 4 Quads, particularly their computer digital village training centre for people with disabilities, funded entirely by the proceeds of the event.
Around 600 off road motorcyclists, able and disabled, join the trip to see some amazing parts of South Africa on this 1000 km off-road journey, to make a difference in the lives of quad- and paraplegics.
