Weekend Warrior, an initiative by Torre Parts & Component for 4x4 enthusiasts to participate in weekend outdoor club, will be running a 4x4 nature trail at Thangami game reserve in Umfolozi, KwaZulu Natal between 7 – 9 August.
There are a wide variety of plants, birds and animals and the area is a paradise for bird watchers, with more than 260 species including Green Pigeon, Hamerkop and Secretary Bird.
The game reserve is located in the Umfolozi valley between Vryheid and Ulundi in Northern Kwa Zulu, Natal. GPS Coordinates: S28 00 38.3 E31 18 38.1.
Accommodation in the form of camping is available with eight stands at R135 per stand and R100 per person per night. Chalets are available with various options ranging from R800 per night for a two sleeper to R1350 for a six sleeper per chalet per night. The 4X4 trail will cost and additional R60 per vehicle per day
Arrival is on Friday the 7th August and the 4x4 trail will start at 9h30 on Saturday 8th August. A maximum of 15 vehicles will be allowed on the day. Weekend Warrior members RSVP with Leonard Chester, product manager - Vehicle Accessories, Torre Parts & Components at to attend.
