In breaking news, Netball SA has announced that an International netball event involving South Africa, Malawi, Zambia and Uganda is set to take place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre from 16-19 June 2015.

Situated just south of Port Shepstone on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre, amongst other key events, has also been home to the SA Schools Netball Inter Provincial Championships in 2014.
Ugu South Coast Tourism’s CEO Mr Justin Mackrory says `It is an accolade that our destination has been selected as the venue for the prestigious Diamond Series event. We have shown that in hosting previous inter provincial netball events that we have the facilities and the hosting capability; and that more and more the South Coast is being recognized as a sports hub’. `I urge the public on the greater South Coast to go and watch these internationals’, as Mackory explains `a well supported event will encourage sports codes to seriously consider our sports venues for future international, national and regional events - and that is good for tourism, which means it is good for everyone’.
