Show your support for youngsters battling cancer by participating in the Survivor’s Walk of Hope on Saturday, 6 September 2014 and get to make your mark alongside Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek. Starting at the Huguenot Monument, this fun trail run finishes at Grande Provence where participants will be welcomed by Archbishop Tutu at 13h00 and given the opportunity to add their hand print on a giant portrait of “The Arch” himself. Organised by Out Of Africa Children’s Foundation, funds raised from this event will go towards improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and terminal illnesses.
The Survivor’s Walk of Hope kicks off with a 10 km trail run at 10h30, while enthusiasts who would like to support this cause at a more leisurely pace can participate in the 5 km walk starting at 10h30.
