Sandton Park
Get ready to chill out with OBiKWA when the Rise and Shine eco-friendly music festival returns to Sandton Central Park on Saturday, 22 August 2015.
A stellar line-up of local performers such as Sutherland, The Urban Village, Bye Beneco and the New Academics will provide non-stop entertainment. Festival goers can party with peace of mind knowing that this eco-friendly music festival is raising funds which will be used to buy trees to be planted in under-privileged areas. To date more than 300 trees have been planted throughout southern Africa.
OBiKWA’s wide range of value for money, varietal wines is the perfect fit for the fine selection of food cart fare you will be tucking into. Besides the ever popular Shiraz, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot amongst the reds, and Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay amongst the whites, you may want to give OBiKWA Moscato a try if you prefer something a little sweeter. Or add a touch of spring to your day with the crisp, dry OBiKWA Pinotage Rosé.
Tickets to the Rise and Shine music festival are available from riseshinefestival.nutickets.co.za at R180 per person with early bird tickets at R120 if you book early. The event starts at 8am – 6pm. Music lovers who would like a tree to be planted on their behalf, can opt for the Green tickets at R200 – R250 per person. Parking is available at Nelson Mandela Square at R10.
The festival gates open at 8am with an hour-long Halycon yoga session at 9am. Centre yourself and get ready to let your day take flight with OBiKWA.
