Marks Park in Emmarentia is being transformed into the Hollard Adventure Weekend Race Day Village for the entire weekend of the 5th & 6th of September 2015. It’s Go Time!

Whether you’re riding, running, supporting or just looking for something different to do over the weekend, the Hollard Adventure Weekend Race Day Village has excitement and fun for everyone.
Save the running around for the participants, there will be child-minders and a special toddler area right next to the ABI family area. The ABI Family Area will have a dedicated area with jumping castles, water slides, face painters, magicians, treasure hunts and much more!
For the mini athletes in training, there will be will be kiddies races on both days. On the 5th September, kiddies can clamber and climb their way over a miniature obstacle course. On the 6th September kiddies can pedal their way around Marks Park by entering the 1km / 2km fun race (Enter online entries are limited to 150 kids per distance total of 300 at R85 each). Last but not least Hollard is bringing in a Radtrax pump track, great fun for young and old!
Don’t worry we haven’t forgotten the grown-ups; enjoy sipping a fresh, cold beer at the SAB beer garden while enjoying a dance move or two at the SAB “Gig Rig”.
If you’re hungry for more than just adventure, the Hollard Adventure Weekend Race Village will have a variety of mouthwatering food stalls to chow down on from Barcelos to Archies Burgers, Lavazza Coffee, Dinky Doughnuts, and much more.
The Hollard Joburg Urban Run Adventure on the 5th September, along with the Hollard Jozi Urban MTB Adventure on the 6th September forms part of the Urban Adventure Weekend Festival. The event attracts between 7 500 – 10 000 adventurers – making it one of the world’s largest urban events this year. The event is brought to you by BAM Event Specialists in partnership with ADReach, Joburg City Parks and Joburg Zoo.
If you’d like to spectate the best points to watch all the action will be at Emmarentia Dam, the Tana Road Park and Alberts farm.
