According to De Villiers mountain-biking helps him keep fit for the Dakar Rally. “Keeping fit for the Dakar Rally is very important. It’s more physically demanding than people realize. As with any sport, if you want to do well you have to keep fit. I also love riding my Specialized Epic bicycle. The Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails has great trails and it’s in my backyard. I’d recommend it to other riders because of its great trails and beautiful scenery. It’s an all-round good weekend.”
