The ten day trip will see 4x4 and outdoor enthusiasts travel through Botswana, the central Kalahari and through the Okavango Delta en route to the Caprivi Strip in Namibia. “The trip will explore three separate rivers, namely the majestic Okavango, the mighty Zambezi and the Limpopo,” said Tim Skelton, the well-known 4x4 expert and MD of SA Adventure. “For people doing the trip, no previous 4x4 experience is required as drivers will be in constant radio contact with tour leaders at all times. Safety will always be a priority,” he said.

The tour will make stops through some of Africa’s historical sites including the Khama Rhino Sanctuary in Botswana. The Sanctuary is 25km north of historic Serowe, one of the largest traditional villages in Africa. This is the birthplace of Botswana‘s first President, the late Sir Seretse Khama. Here an abundance of wildlife including rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and other animals and bird species can be observed. Mokoro boat trips, Moremi Game drives, scenic flights and horse riding trips can be taken in the Okavango Delta. “In Namibia, we will travel through the Caprivi Strip to the banks of the Zambezi River, rich in wildlife and mineral resources, making it a potential trading route to Africa’s East Coast. Here one may also have the exhilarating experience of seeing the river’s ancient inhabitants, the hippopotamus or the crocodile.” “Our last stop will include interacting with elephants on the banks of the Limpopo River before heading back to South Africa,” said Mr Skelton.
