Over the next few weeks Bike and Tours will share with you “The Adventure of Chlöisu in Borneo! “ Mr Niklaus Werren or Klaus or also known as Chlöisu in the local Swiss dialect is our very first privileged client. Ohh I must add upon eavesdropping, ok scrap eavesdropping, I will be nice. Upon the locals hearing the Swiss German conversations between Simon and his Päpu (father), some of the locals have also naturally called and referred to Chlöisu as simply – Päpu!!! Italy is known for many things, from ancient relics to leading fashions, from beautifully crafted foods to delectable wines, but until recently Italy’s Riviera was not known for its five lands – the Cinque Terre. Arriving in the beautiful Riomaggiore for a week of tranquil country life was like a breath of new life and a treat to undiscovered splendour.
Relaxed holidaymakers often don’t realize the complex reality that lies behind their wonderfully simple 7-day cruise. While guests bask in the sun, enjoy drinks around the pool or tickle their taste buds with succulent meals in one of the gourmet on board restaurants, it’s hard to imagine the number of people who are working on board to make this magic happen, be it backstage or on the front-line.

The south of France is known for its beautiful coastline cities and sunny summers, but it was the lesser known villages of the eastern Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (or just Provence) that attracted us to the beautiful area. Laura and I joined my parents for a magical two weeks of exploring the narrow winding roads and medieval villages.

Hampi, in India, is littered with vast stretches of boulder-strewn hills and captivating ruins that make the backdrop of this ancient metropolis so distinctive.
It all started with a call from my friend Hugo, “Check your email - you will not believe it!” I did as ordered and at first did not understand one word of it.
In the last two issues I spoke about our time in Lech, Austria, and Meribel, France, and in this article I will tell you more about our experience in the amazing Jungfrau region, which is located in the heart of the Swiss Bernese Alps in Switzerland. This was the last week of our European skiing holiday.
