Into the Future with Moto Guzzi
Words & Photos: AMID Motorcycle & Quad Lifestyle Show
Moto Guzzi is an iconic Italian brand with a glorious history and since its adoption by the Piaggio group it has been going from strength to strength. Recently reintroduced to South Africa via the safe hands of local distributor KMSA it has experienced resurgence in popularity thanks to a small but perfectly formed range of new models.
The California 1400 Custom is an exciting new model that is a derivative of the fantastically capable California 1400 Touring that made a huge impression on the judges of the recently held Pirelli Bike of the Year competition. Gone are the panniers and screen of the Touring to be replaced by a more minimalist approach that highlights the clean lines and cruising potential of this gutsy V-twin-powered Moto Guzzi. Both versions of the California will be on the stand at the AMID Motorcycle Expo.
Moto Guzzi also has a 1200cc V-twin that is found in three distinct models that cover a wide range of motorcycling applications. The Griso is a unique naked bike that combines style with performance, the Norge is a massively capable tourer that can cross continents in comfort and the Stelvio is Moto Guzzi’s interpretation of a touring adventure bike. All three models will be available for a closer look at Nasrec between 8th and 11th August.
If you’re looking for a bike with a smaller engine capacity but even more presence and style you should check out the three versions of the V7 – a 750cc naked bike that never fails to attract crowds wherever it’s parked, or ridden!
