Words: AMID Motorcycle & Quad Lifestyle Show
Proving that the AMiD Motorcycle and Lifestyle Show is truly a show for every motorcycle enthusiast, no matter what they ride, there will be a Concours D’Elegance and Show & Shine competition over the course of the weekend, open to any bike from any era.
Organiser Pierre Cronje, chairman of the Classic Motorcycle Club, has had a busy year; first with the Centennial DJ Run and more recently with the 1000 Bikes Show and he has now turned his attention to the upcoming AMiD show, where the competitions will celebrate the skill and passion of local bike builders and enthusiasts.
The Concours D’Elegance will take place on Friday 9th August and the Show & Shine on Saturday 10th August. Entry is simplicity itself; arrive before 10 a.m. on either day and tell Pierre that you are entering your bike. Judging will start at 11 a.m. and the winners will be announced around 2 p.m.
The different judging classes will be as follows:
